Continuing the Flow
by Sharon Renae

We are so attached to our material world.  For most of us everything revolves around our financial security, including our happiness, relationships and our spiritual well-being.

If we are not feeling financially secure, then we have a tendency to forget our spiritual perspective, and doubt our relationship with God. God always provides.  It may not be within our expectations, but he always provides nonetheless.

The birds do not worry if their food will be there in the morning.  They know it will be there, however, it doesn’t fly up to their nest.  They have to go and get it. I’ve watched many people get in the mindset, if they think it and want it, then it shall be and pennies will fall from the heavens.  Then they become angry with God, the universe and the bill collector’s that they are not being  provided for.

We live in a three dimensional world and to be a part of it requires effort.  We have to work in order to have the necessities to survive, and receive the rewards for our efforts. If we were living in an African village, we would still have a job, a duty, or purpose, and the tribe would expect the job to be done.

There is a circle of energy needed in order for the spirit to be fed.  We must have faith God will provide, and we must also do our part to keep the energy connected. Believing is only a part of it.  We must also be willing to freely give the same energy that we are asking for.  If we want to be loved, we must give love.  If we want to have shelter, we must be willing to provide shelter.  As many of us delve into metaphysics, and learn how we can create our reality, we sometimes begin to believe - if we “think” it hard enough what we want will appear.

Well a few things must happen first.
1.  We have to surrender our control to God’s will.
2.  We have to trust, and give thanks constantly for all we are given.
3.  Throw away all negative beliefs and patterns.
4.  Listen to our hearts.
5.  We must give and accept to complete the circle of energy.
6.  Remove our expectations of the outcome.
7.  Take responsibility for our life and the choices we make.
8.  Forgive ourselves, others and God.  Edwene Gaines, author of the Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity, says the third law is Forgiveness and unforgiveness creates financial debt.

God allows us the choice.  We can choose to participate in the circle, or, sit in the middle and watch it continue without us, or, we can  stand in the way and complain that it is not moving us forward, (in other words just blame God.) God grants us with many gifts.  What do we give to God?  How do we help the continuity of the circle?
